Megadeth is a thrash metal group of Americans led by Dave Mustaine. The group disbanded in 2002 due to Mustaine suffered a muscle injury Saturday Night Palsy, but re-formed in 2004.

Megadeth has a mascot that always appear in a variety of their albums. Vic Rattlehead is the mascot name Shown in the figure of an ape man wearing negligee, smoking filter, and wearing a headset. An embodiment of the phrase "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil." In the album United Abominations 2007, Vic has undergone a change of view, after Mustaine gives the DeviantArt contest, won by. Vic appears not to ape the figure again, but it appears the figure of a madman with long dreadlocks, black smoke and super.

Dave Mustaine (born in La Mesa, California, USA, 13 September 1961; age 50 years) is one of the most important musicians and thrash metal group Megadeth motors. Mustaine parents divorced when he was seven years old, and as a result, he grew up in various suburbs around the slums of Southern California.

Dave Mustaine is involved in the formation of the group in 1981 with Metallica James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, but was expelled for drug problems before the band was recording their first album.

Mustaine later formed Megadeth David Ellefson along the base. After releasing nine studio albums and a variety of concert recordings and compilations, in January 2002, Mustaine got a motorcycle accident resulting in injury in his left hand. Because he can no longer play the guitar, he declared himself out of Megadeth and in April of that year Megadeth disbanded.

In 2004, after undergoing intensive therapy, Mustaine has recovered from his injury and playing music again. He asked Chris Poland, former Megadeth guitarist to work in his solo project. Under pressure from the label, the album was then recorded as Megadeth and released The System Has Failed.

When through intensive therapy, Dave Mustaine changed ways, and choose to embrace Christianity. He also changed his political views to be conservative and support Republicans. Very different when compared with the political views expressed in the first albums.

As well as the band Megadeth and Metallica, Mustaine is also known for being involved a lot of cases in the American music industry.

The most famous case is of course the problem with Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich especially with. Dave Mustaine claim that he has written several Metallica songs, most notably "Leper Messiah". Metallica Mustaine but rejected the claim. Mustaine fans believe that the songs of Metallica's "Master Of Puppets" was actually created by Mustaine, but then "stolen" by Metallica.
